The only difference between olympic ECO barbell and other barbells is the overall length: 1850mm (73") instead of classic 2200mm (86") which a weight of 15kg (33lbs). Same inner space of 1310mm (51½") between sleeves, same hardcore knurling for maximum grip, same engraving on the length of 810mm (32") - widest allowed grip for IPF bench press - and central knurling for back grip during squats. The only shortened parts are the rotating sleeves, resulting 270mm (10") each.
These sleeves length allow to load an amount of over 600kg (1322lbs) - using Power Gear steel plates - which is anyway more than the maximum loading capacity of 450kg (990lbs), same as the olympic barbell Ø30mm.
Our olympic ECO barbell, as all Power Gear manufactured barbells, has a special sliding system based on self lubricating bushes and has an electrolytic zinc-coated finishing which, unlike chromium plating, does not chip; if the barbell gets scratched, the zinc-coated finishing regenerates by itself, preventing the steel from decaying even in the long run.
